🏷️ How to Determine the Age of Your Fluidra, Jandy, Zodiac, or Polaris Pool Equipment

Knowing the age of your pool equipment can help with warranty coverage, maintenance planning, and upgrade decisions. Here's a simple guide to help you locate and decode the serial number on your pool gear from Fluidra brands like Jandy, Zodiac, and Polaris.

🔍 Step 1: Locate the Serial Number

Each product has a unique serial number, usually found on a label or stamped into the unit. Here's where to check based on the type of equipment:

  • Pumps: On the pump housing, near the outlet pipe

  • Filters: Front-facing label or molded into the filter body

  • Heaters: Inside the cabinet, or on the outside near the exhaust vent

  • Cleaners:

    • On the underside of the body

    • Near the filter canister or suction port

    • Under the lid (for certain models)

  • Automation Systems: Inside the control panel door

  • Slides: On the upper section — typically on the ladder or side

Important: Always use the serial number from the equipment housing, not from the motor or secondary components.

📅 Step 2: Decode the Serial Number

Most serial numbers include a date code to help you determine when the unit was manufactured. Here's how to read it:

  • The first two digits typically indicate the year

  • The next two digits indicate the week of the year (out of 52)

Example:
If the serial number reads 2135XXXXX, that means the product was made in week 35 of 2021. See below for more details!
