Three ways to sauna

Most people know they want a sauna before they know which kind. Here's the short version — and our team will walk you through the rest.

Traditional · Harvia

Classic high‑heat sauna

Finnish‑style rooms running 160–195°F with a Harvia electric heater and sauna stones you can ladle water over for löyly steam. Indoor rooms and insulated outdoor models like the Harvia Alpina and Takoa.

Best for: purists, families, anyone who wants the real thing year‑round.

Outdoor · Almost Heaven

Barrel & cabin saunas

Handcrafted in West Virginia from thick‑milled wood. Barrel saunas for 2–6 people, cabin and cube saunas for larger groups, canopy models with a covered porch. Delivered and set on a pad or deck.

Best for: backyards, lake places, the sauna‑then‑snow‑roll crowd.

Infrared · TheraSauna

Infrared saunas

Lower air temperature, heat that works into the body, plugs into a standard outlet on smaller models. 1‑ to 4‑person cabins that fit a bedroom, basement or home gym with no plumbing or special ventilation.

Best for: recovery, small spaces, daily use without a long warm‑up.

Why buy a sauna from a pool & spa company?

Because we've been keeping hot water running through Minnesota winters for decades, and a sauna is the same conversation: heat, insulation, electrical, placement and what happens after delivery.

Right heater, right size. We size the Harvia heater to your room volume and insulation so it actually reaches temperature at −20°F, instead of guessing from a catalog.
Electrical, honestly. Most traditional saunas need a 240V circuit; many infrared models don't. We tell you before you buy, and we can coordinate with your electrician.
Service after the sale. Heater elements, controls and wood care are handled by the same local service department that repairs hot tubs — not a call center.

Financing that fits

Premier offers Wisetack financing on saunas, hot tubs and pool equipment. Check your options in about a minute with no impact to your credit score, then pay over time with fixed monthly payments. Ask for it on the form or when you call.

Common questions

How long does it take to get a sauna?

Infrared models and some barrel saunas are often available within a few weeks. Custom traditional rooms and larger outdoor cabins are typically built to order; we'll give you a current lead time with your quote.

Can an outdoor sauna really be used at −20°F?

Yes, with the right heater and insulation. That's exactly what we size for. Outdoor models we recommend for Minnesota are insulated and heated to reach full temperature in winter.

Do you deliver and set it up?

We deliver throughout Minnesota and neighboring areas and can handle placement and assembly. Electrical hookup is done by a licensed electrician; we'll tell you exactly what circuit is needed.

Indoor or outdoor?

Indoor saunas need ventilation planning and, for traditional heat, a 240V circuit. Outdoor saunas need a level pad or deck and a short walk you don't mind in January. We'll help you decide based on your space.

Can I see one before I buy?

Yes. Our showroom is at 2985 Water Tower Place in Chanhassen. Call or text ahead and we'll make sure someone from the sauna team is available.
