Raypak 002003F Pilot Assembly for Electronic Ignition (IID) Heaters
Part # 002003F | Genuine Raypak replacement part | Natural gas or propane | For 206A to 406A, 408A, 106A, 156A and the RP2100, Versa and Spa-Pak IID heaters listed below
This is the pilot assembly for Raypak atmospheric heaters with electronic ignition (IID), the type that lights its pilot automatically on each call for heat. Raypak lists the same pilot for natural gas and propane heaters. The heater opens its main gas valve only after this pilot flame has been proven.
✅ Fits these Raypak models:
- 206A, 266A, 336A and 406A atmospheric heaters with electronic ignition (Raypak's 2019 parts list and 2023 manual also name the 266 and 399)
- 408A Professional Series heater
- 106A and 156A heaters, natural gas and propane
- RP2100 R185A to R405A atmospheric heaters with electronic ignition built after June 1, 2000 (earlier ones are listed with pilot 008668F), and R185B to R405B (October 2003 to October 2004)
- Versa 185A to 405A (1986 to 1988) and Versa 185B to 405B with electronic ignition (1988 to 1992)
- Versa 055A (1987 to 1989), Versa 055B (1990 to 2013), Versa 105A (1991 to 1999) and the brass-header Versa 105B (1999 to 2006), electronic ignition
- Spa-Pak 053A and 053B with electronic ignition (1984 to 1987), listed for natural gas
- Not for Low NOx heaters (the 207A to 407A use Raypak 010232F) or for millivolt (standing pilot) heaters, which use 600525B on natural gas and 600575B on propane
🔧 Details:
- Raypak part name: Pilot Nat & Pro IID
- Fuel: natural gas or propane. Raypak's RP2100 parts list describes this pilot as including both the natural gas and the propane orifice
- The pilot orifices are also listed separately: 003903F (natural gas, .020) and 004308F (propane, .012)
- Related parts on the 206A to 406A: pilot mounting bracket 100-10000419 and pilot tube 004078F
📌 Good to know:
- Raypak's manual describes cleaning a pilot: take it off its bracket, remove the pilot orifice and clean the orifice and the air opening with wire or a small brush, without enlarging the orifice hole.
- Raypak's troubleshooting chart looks for a pilot flame that is steady and blue and covers the flame rod.
- Pilot and gas train work is for a qualified gas technician.
