Raypak 009835 Outdoor Stack Kit (High Wind Top), 7" Flue
Part # 009835 | Genuine Raypak accessory | For 266A, 267A and 268A pool and spa heaters installed outdoors
This kit fits a painted outdoor stack to a Raypak 266A, 267A or 268A gas heater installed outdoors; Raypak's manuals call it the outdoor stack kit, and it is sold as the high wind top. These heaters come with a stackless outdoor top, and Raypak lists the outdoor stack as optional equipment. The stack is the vent termination, so no vent pipe is added to it.
✅ Fits these Raypak models:
- Raypak 266A digital (electronic ignition) heaters
- Raypak 267A digital Low NOx heaters (Raypak dates the residential 267A to 2004 through 2023)
- Raypak 268A Professional Series heaters (some Raypak documents write the model as 268)
- Raypak 266A millivolt heaters (built 2004 to 2020), and the model 266 that shares the 266A column in Raypak's parts list
- Other cabinet sizes take a different kit: 009834 for the 206A and 207A, 009836 for the 336A and 337A, 009837 for the 406A, 407A and 408A
🔧 Details:
- In the box, per Raypak: 1 painted outdoor stack, 1 adapter plate, 3 mounting brackets (clips), 1 top panel cover, two 1 ft sections of metal tape, 3 screws and the instructions
- Sized for the 7 in. (178 mm) flue of the 266A, 267A and 268A
- Stack height, per Raypak's dimension note: the heater's J dimension plus 6 in. (152 mm). J is 11 in. (279 mm) on the 266A and 267A
- Clearance above: Raypak calls for unobstructed space over an outdoor stack
- Optional equipment: Raypak does not supply it with the heater
📌 Good to know:
- For outdoor installations only. A heater installed indoors needs the indoor stack kit (009839 for this size) and a vent to the outside.
- Raypak's Digital Tool Box Guide lists high wind among the things to check when the rollout switch opens, and wind as a probable cause of ignition failures and lockouts. It lists other causes as well (gas pressure, combustion air, a blocked heat exchanger, vent size and connections) and does not name this kit as the remedy.
- Follow the instructions packed with the kit. Work on a gas heater's venting is for a qualified installer.
Check your heater's model and serial number before ordering.
