Raypak 009832 D-2 Power Vent Kit, 240V

Part # 009832 | Genuine Raypak accessory | For 206A, 207A, 266A, 267A and 268A electronic-ignition heaters

The D-2 Power Vent is a blower unit that sits on top of the heater and pushes the flue gases out through a 4 in. vent; on a retrofit the existing pagoda top or drafthood comes off first. It is Raypak's option for heaters that have to vent through a side wall or need a reduced vent pipe size. This kit is the smaller of the two sizes and leaves the factory wired for 240 V.

✅ Fits these Raypak models:

  • Raypak 206A and 266A digital (electronic ignition) heaters
  • Raypak 207A and 267A digital Low NOx heaters (Raypak dates the residential models to 2004 through 2023)
  • Raypak 268A Professional Series heaters (the D-2 manual writes the model as 268)
  • Raypak model 266, which an earlier revision of the 206A-406A manual lists together with the 266A
  • Electronic ignition models only: Raypak does not list the D-2 for millivolt heaters
  • The 336A, 337A, 406A, 407A and 408A take the larger kit: 009833 wired for 240 V or 010745 wired for 120 V

🔧 Details:

  • In the box, per Raypak: D-2 Power Vent, collar adapter, 7/8 in. plastic grommet, adjustable 90 degree elbow with screen (the side-wall termination) and 4 in. flue adapter
  • Blower motor: 120/240 V, 60 Hz, 1.95/1.0 A, 3200 RPM, in a plenum with a draft-proving switch and motor relay
  • Wired at the factory for 240 V; the blower can be rewired for 120 V. The same kit wired for 120 V at the factory is 010744
  • Vent connection: 4 in. collar. Category III vent pipe and a 4 in. gasket-to-gasket flue adapter are field-supplied, not in the kit
  • Maximum vent run: 100 equivalent ft including the termination; each 90 degree elbow counts as 10 ft, each 45 degree elbow as 5 ft, and no more than four 90 degree elbows
  • Needs at least 24 in. of clearance above the unit
  • Raypak's instructions have the mounting brackets relocated when the unit goes on a 206A or 207A; that step is skipped on the 266A, 267A and 268A
  • A wire harness connects the unit to the heater controls; the draft-proving switch has to close before the main gas valve can open
  • Raypak states the D-2 is tested and certified to ANSI Z21.56, the standard for pool heaters

📌 Good to know:

  • For a through-the-wall installation Raypak requires the screened elbow supplied in the kit to be the vent termination.
  • Category I vent material such as B-vent must not be used with the D-2; it runs at positive vent pressure and needs Category III pipe.
  • Raypak does not support common venting of positive-pressure vent systems; plan a separate Category III vent for the D-2.
  • Installation involves gas venting and line-voltage wiring and must be done by a qualified installer following Raypak's D-2 manual (P/N 241243) and local code.
