Polaris F7000 Polaris 7000 Robotic Pool Floor & Cove Cleaner For Flat Bottom Pools Up To 30'
F7000
Polaris 7000 (F7000) at a glance
The Polaris 7000 is a compact, no-frills robot for small, simple pools: above-ground pools and flat-bottom or gently sloped in-ground pools up to 30 feet. It cleans the floor and the cove (the curve where the floor meets the wall) in about two hours, using cyclonic suction and track drive. It doesn't climb walls. Because it plugs in, there's no battery to charge.
- Coverage: floor and cove only; no wall or waterline cleaning
- Cycle: about 2 hours, one mode, started with one button
- Power: plug-in control unit; no battery, no charging
- Cable: 40 ft floating cable (no swivel)
- Controls: Start/Stop button on the control unit; no app, no Wi-Fi, no scheduling
- Filtration: 3 L Easy Clean canister with a clear lid, so you can see when it's full
- Pool size: up to 30 ft; above-ground and simple flat-bottom in-ground pools
- Weight: about 15.4 lb
- Caddy: not included (available as an optional accessory)
- Warranty: 2-year limited (Polaris/Fluidra)
Our pairing pick: add a Betta SE Plus solar skimmer
The 7000 cleans the floor, but most of what ends up there starts out floating: leaves, pollen, bugs and dust. The Betta SE Plus solar robotic skimmer patrols the surface all day on solar power and catches that debris before it sinks, which covers the part of the pool a floor-only robot can't reach. The 7000 then has less to pick up, its canister fills more slowly, and you won't need to run it as often. The Betta has no cord, so there's nothing for the 7000's floating cable to tangle with.

Polaris overview
Is it right for your pool?
| Your pool | Good fit? |
|---|---|
| Above-ground pool up to 30 ft | Yes. This is what the 7000 is built for. |
| Small in-ground pool with a flat bottom or gentle slope | Yes, for floor cleaning. |
| Pool with a deep end, steep slopes or hoppers | No. Look at the EPIC 8520, which handles all in-ground surfaces. |
| You want the walls cleaned too | No. The 7000 cleans the floor and cove only. The 7240 Sport adds walls. |
| Pool longer than 30 ft | No. See the comparison below. |
Using it: what to expect
Corded robots like the 7000 don't have the charging limits of a cordless robot. You can run a cycle, empty the canister and start another right away. A few things still matter:
| Situation | What to plan for |
|---|---|
| Normal weekly upkeep | Run a cycle as often as your pool needs; once or twice a week is typical. There's no scheduler, so each cycle is started at the control unit. |
| Spring opening / pool closed all winter | Net out the big leaves first and get the water clear and above 55°F. A winter's worth of debris fills the 3 L canister quickly, and a full canister cuts suction. Expect to run several cycles, emptying the canister between each. Because it's corded, you can run them back to back. |
| Walls and waterline | The 7000 won't clean these. Brush the walls by hand now and then, and keep the waterline wiped down. |
| Floating debris | Floor robots only pick up what sinks. Skim the surface or add a solar skimmer (see above). |
| Cable tangles | The cable doesn't have a swivel, so it can twist over time. Lay it out straight with no coils, and untangle it every so often. If it does twist, unplug it at the control unit and untangle it starting at the robot end. |
| Getting it out | Take it out when the cycle ends. Lift by the handle, never by the cable. It's heavier when full of water, so let it drain as you lift. |
| Where the control unit goes | At least 5 ft from the pool edge, on its base, plugged straight into a GFCI outlet (no extension cord). It's water-resistant, not waterproof. |
| Storage | Rinse the canister, untangle and loosely coil the cable, and keep everything out of direct sun. Over a Minnesota winter, store the robot, cable and control unit indoors where they won't freeze. |

Common questions
Do I need to charge it?
No. The 7000 is corded, so it runs whenever it's plugged in. You can run cycles back to back.
Does it climb walls?
No. It cleans the floor and the cove where the floor meets the wall. For wall cleaning, step up to the 7240 Sport.
Will it work in my in-ground pool?
Yes, if the pool is small (up to 30 ft) and the floor is flat or gently sloped. It isn't meant for deep ends or steep transitions.
Can it clean my pool right after opening in the spring?
Yes, once the water is clear and above 55°F. Net out the big debris first and plan on emptying the canister between several cycles.
Can I leave it in the pool?
Polaris recommends taking it out after each cycle.
Does it come with a caddy?
No. A caddy is available separately.
