The 206A is the smallest heater in Raypak's Digital gas series, rated at 199,500 BTU per hour on natural gas. It has a microprocessor thermostat with a digital display, electronic ignition that lights the pilot and burners on each call for heat, and a copper fin-tube heat exchanger with polymer headers. This #50 version is built for installations from sea level to 2,000 ft.

🔧 Details:

• Input: 199,500 BTU per hour (58.4 kW). Raypak lists the Digital series at 82% efficiency.
• Fuel: natural gas. Supply pressure 6 in. WC minimum, 10.5 in. WC maximum.
• Burner: atmospheric. This is not a Low NOx model; Raypak's Low NOx Digital heaters are the ASME models 207A to 407A.
• Ignition: electronic intermittent ignition, which lights the pilot and main burners on each call for heat.
• Heat exchanger: copper fin tube with polymer headers. A ProTek Shield module under the inlet connection protects it from galvanic corrosion.
• Water connections: 2 in. slip. Two 2 in. CPVC union halves with O-rings are included.
• Gas connection: 3/4 in. NPT. Flue: 6 in.
• Power: wired for 240 V at the factory, convertible to 120 V, single phase, 60 Hz. Draws 2 A at 240 V or 4 A at 120 V. Not for 208 V.
• Control: digital thermostat with pool and spa modes; accepts a two-wire or three-wire remote.
• Cabinet width 20 in. Shipping weight 187 lb with the outdoor top.

📌 Good to know:

• Above 2,000 ft Raypak calls for cutting the input 4% per 1,000 ft, so order the version built for your elevation.
• Optional Raypak kits for the 206A: outdoor stack 009834, indoor stack 009838, D-2 power vent 010744 (120 V) or 009832 (240 V).
• Raypak requires a sediment trap on the gas line, and the heater should sit at least 3 ft from a heat pump or outdoor condensing unit.
• The ProTek Shield is a wear part. Raypak says to replace it once it is down to about 40% of its original weight.
