The Avia 264A is Raypak's 264,000 BTU natural gas heater for residential pools and spas. Wi-Fi is built into the control, so the heater can be set and watched from the Raymote phone app with no separate control panel. This version has the copper straight-tube heat exchanger and is rated at 84% thermal efficiency with Low NOx emissions.

• Natural gas, from sea level up to 10,000 ft (certified to 4,500 ft; above that a qualified technician adjusts the gas valve)

• Input: 264,000 BTU per hour (77.4 kW). Thermal efficiency 84%. Low NOx.
• Fuel: natural gas. Supply pressure 3.5 in. WC minimum while firing, 10.5 in. WC maximum static.
• Heat exchanger: copper, straight-tube design, with a polymer inlet/outlet header and a stainless steel combustion chamber.
• Water connections: 2 in. Two 2 in. CPVC tailpieces with ring nuts and O-rings come in the carton.
• Gas connection: 3/4 in. NPT. Flue: 4 in.
• Power: 240 V as shipped, convertible to 120 V, single phase, 60 Hz. Draws about 1.2 A at 240 V or 1.6 A at 120 V. Not for 208 V.
• Control: touchpad with LCD display, pool and spa modes, and Wi-Fi for the Raymote app. A 3-wire remote harness is included for automation systems, and the control can run a Raypak Protégé or AquaStar Smart variable-speed pump.
• ProTek Shield module on the water inlet protects the heat exchanger from galvanic corrosion (replacement module 017960F).

📌 Good to know:

• The ProTek Shield is a wear part. Raypak says to replace it once it is down to about 40% of its original weight.
• Raypak requires a sediment trap on the gas line. Chlorinators and chemical feeders go downstream of the heater, with a check valve between them.
• Keep the heater at least 3 ft from a heat pump or outdoor condensing unit.
• Connecting to Raymote needs a reliable Wi-Fi signal at the equipment pad.

Gas, venting and electrical work must be done by a qualified installer and meet local codes.
