Installation Tips Clean the lid seat and housing throat before installing the new O ring Lubricate the O ring with a small amount of approved pool pump lubricant or silicone safe for elastomers. Align the locking ring and rotate until fully seated. Check that the lid engages the housing evenly and hand tighten only. Do not use tools to over torque
