Dolphin LIBERTY 200 (99998100-US) at a glance
The LIBERTY 200 is the entry point to Maytronics' cordless Dolphin line: a simple, lightweight battery robot with one button, no app and no cable on the deck. It's a good fit for smaller in-ground and above-ground pools where the owner wants the floor and walls cleaned without hauling out a corded robot.
- Coverage: floor and walls, with an active scrubbing brush and wall climbing
- Cycle: about 1.5 hours per charge
- Charging: Magnetic-Connect inductive charger, up to 6 hours to full
- Retrieval: parks near a wall at the end of the cycle; lift out with the included grab hook (quick water release makes it lighter)
- Filtration: top-access filter basket with fine filter panels
- Pool size: up to 33 ft long; in-ground and above-ground
- Warranty: 2-year limited (Maytronics)
Our pairing pick: add a Betta SE Plus solar skimmer
Most of what ends up on your pool floor starts out floating: leaves, pollen, bugs and dust. The Betta SE Plus solar robotic skimmer patrols the surface all day on solar power and catches that debris before it sinks. With the surface handled, the LIBERTY 200 has less to pick up, its filter basket fills more slowly, and you won't need to run (or charge) it as often. Both units are cordless, so there's no cable for the robot to tangle with while they share the pool.

Charging & battery: what to expect
The most common surprise with any cordless robot: one charge = one cleaning cycle. It isn't charged once a week like a phone. After each 1.5-hour cycle, take it out, rinse the filter basket, and set it on the charger. A full charge takes up to 6 hours, so in practice that's one cleaning per day at most.
| Situation | What to plan for |
|---|---|
| Normal weekly upkeep | Run a cycle, take it out, rinse the basket and recharge. Run it as often as your pool needs; owners with trees overhead may want to run it most days during leaf drop. |
| Eco Mode | Per Maytronics' LIBERTY 200/300/400 manual: cleans the floor only for up to 40 minutes, three times a week, for about a week on one charge. At the end of the week, take it out, rinse the filter and recharge. |
| Spring opening / pool closed all winter | This is not a one-charge job. Winter leaves and silt fill the basket fast, and a full basket hurts suction and climbing. Net out the big debris, get the water clear and above 43°F (warmer is better), then plan on several cycles over a few days, rinsing the basket and recharging between each. |
| Waterline | The LIBERTY 200 is built to clean the floor and walls; Maytronics doesn't list waterline scrubbing for this model. Plan to brush the tile line by hand, or step up to the LIBERTY 300 or 600. |
| Run time | About 1.5 hours per cycle. Run time depends on pool size and debris, and like any lithium-ion battery, it slowly drops over the seasons. The battery is sealed and not user-replaceable. |
| End of a cycle | It finishes near a wall. There's no Click-Up on the 200, so lift it out with the grab hook on your pool pole; the quick water release lets most of the water drain as you lift. Don't leave it in the pool between cycles. |
| Battery bars dark when you go to use it | With a low battery it drops into standby and the lights go out. Connect it to the charger to wake it. |
| Where to keep it | Charge it in a shaded, protected spot. The charger must plug straight into a GFCI-protected outlet (no extension cord). Heat is what shortens lithium battery life. |
| Winter storage | Maytronics says to store it at about half charge (2 green bars), somewhere between 14°F and 104°F, then fully charge it before the first use of the season. |

Minnesota owners: temperatures that matter
- Operating water temperature: 43°F to 95°F.
- Charging temperature: 43°F to 95°F. On cold spring and fall nights, charge it in the garage, not on the deck.
- Off-season: bring it indoors at half charge (see storage above); don't leave it in a hot shed or a freezing one.
Water chemistry limits
Per the Maytronics manual: chlorine up to 4 ppm, pH 7.0–7.8, salt up to 5,000 ppm. It's fine in typical saltwater pools; keep it out of the water during a shock treatment until chlorine is back below 4 ppm.

Common questions
How often do I need to charge it?
After every cycle. It runs about 1.5 hours per charge and takes up to 6 hours to recharge. Eco Mode is the only way to stretch one charge across a week, and it cleans the floor only.
Can it clean my pool right after opening in the spring?
Yes, but plan on several cycles over a few days, not one, and rinse the basket and recharge between runs.
Does it clean the waterline?
Maytronics lists the LIBERTY 200 for floor and walls. If waterline scrubbing matters to you, look at the LIBERTY 300 or 600.
Does it have an app, a timer or a remote?
No. It's a one-button robot. For Click-Up retrieval and a floor-only option, see the LIBERTY 300.
Will it work in an above-ground pool?
Yes, in-ground or above-ground pools up to 33 ft long and at least 1 ft deep.
